The Terrace Grille is one of Bar Harbor’s premier outdoor restaurants. Centrally located at the end of West Street next to the town pier – look for the iconic yellow umbrellas and you’ll know you have arrived.
The Bistro offers something for everyone. Experience casual fine dining and a full bar in a relaxed atmosphere, with local and international cuisine. Enjoy the views of Frenchman Bay near one of our floor-to-ceiling windows or take in the fresh salt air on our deck or patio. We’re open for dinner with seating for 25 plus balcony seating in season.

We offer one of the largest menus in Bar Harbor. Stop in for lunch and to try one of our Hand-Crafted Burger’s or Fresh Maine Lobster with our Lobster Trap, a traditional Fresh Maine Lobster Roll served with a cup of Maine Lobster Bisque. Our Dinner menu offers something for everyone from Burger’s and Salads to Homemade Slow Roasted BBQ Ribs and Fresh Maine Seafood Pasta dishes.
The Bar Harbor Inn has two exceptional dining locations. The Reading Room offers fine dining with beautiful views of Frenchman Bay and is open for breakfast and dinner daily. Guests enjoy early access to make reservations and are encouraged to book at least 72 hours prior to arriving at the Inn.
The Terrace Grille offers casual outdoor dining that overlooks the bay and serves lunch and dinner. The Terrace Grille does not accept reservations but is pleased to offer priority seating to hotel guests.
Guests can also enjoy refreshments and snacks from our Pool Bar.
