The Atlantic Oceanside Hotel & Event Center
The Atlantic Oceanside Hotel & Event Center is located on the ocean in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine. Twelve acres of lawns, gardens, and incredible views of Maine’s scenic coast set this resort apart from the ordinary. Formerly the estate of Klondike billionaire, Sir Harry Oakes, we are located near the entrance to Acadia National Park and quietly located a few minutes from downtown Bar Harbor.
A short walk or drive takes you to the heart of Bar Harbor’s business and shopping district. This ideal location allows our guests to experience the pristine coastal town with ease, yet provides the perfect escape from busy downtown.
Comprised of five distinct buildings featuring a variety of quality accommodations, the Atlantic Oceanside provides all the comforts and amenities you would expect in a fine hotel, including complimentary continental breakfast, indoor swimming pool, private pebble beach, free WiFi access, fitness room, and (seasonally) a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, and daily yoga classes. Each of the Atlantic Oceanside’s 153 rooms and suites features a private balcony or patio overlooking the ocean.
The Bistro
Our on-site restaurant, the Bistro, is open seasonally and serves up fresh locally sourced dishes and cocktails in a relaxed, intimate setting.
The Willows Mansion
The Willows B&B is a historic estate located on the grounds of the Atlantic Oceanside. Built in 1913, The Willows was completely renovated and refurbished in 2008 and now offers the finest accommodations on the property. The Willows is an enchanting escape with 13 guestrooms including a deluxe penthouse.
Seaview Cottage
Centrally located on the property is Seaview Cottage, a two-bedroom home that sleeps 6-7 and offers a wraparound deck with ocean view, full kitchen, living room, and washer/dryer, while still enjoying all the amenities located on the grounds.
Ideal Location
Within just one mile of the property is the bustling Bar Harbor downtown; the entrance to Acadia National Park; Kebo Valley Golf Club (the nation’s eighth oldest and one of its most scenic); galleries and museums; canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard outfitters; bicycle rentals; whale watch and other boat tours; and entertainment to suit every taste. As a guest of the Atlantic Oceanside, you will enjoy door-to-door service to many of these local attractions and activities via the free Island Explorer seasonal shuttle.
Atlantic Oceanside also offers nature cruises that depart from the its own private pier. These two-hour, narrated boat rides showcase breathtaking scenery, wildlife, and historic homes and lighthouses. Guests also can enjoy numerous water activities, such as kayaking and canoeing from our beach.
